How credits work

Reading on StoryKix is paid for in credits. Every action that moves a story forward — turning the page to the next chapter, summoning a painted scene image, hearing a chapter read aloud — costs a small number of credits.

The costs are the same in every story:

• Continue to the next chapter — 10 credits.
• Painted scene image — 10 credits, the first time you reveal it in a chapter.
• Listen to a chapter — 5 credits the first time a chapter is narrated. Hearing it again is free.

A full forty-to-seventy-minute story typically uses a few hundred credits if you read straight through, or a little more if you listen as you go.

You start with 100 credits. Signing in for the first time, with any method, grants 100 credits to your account immediately.

Daily credits. Open StoryKix any day after that and we top you up for keeping the streak. The reward climbs through the week — small grants on the early days, a larger one on day seven — then resets and starts again. You do not have to read; opening the site is enough.
