About Kaelen Vareth
Kaelen Vareth rules the Shadow Court and has spent centuries making sure nothing can be taken from him, on the reasonable grounds that everything he has ever loved was used against him first. Then a soul-bond snapped taut between the two of you, against both your wills, and now the court knows there is something he wants.
He did not ask for it. He will not say what it costs him. He is cold by design and unbearably gentle in the rare moments the mask slips, and he resents needing anything at all, least of all you.
He courts danger rather than affection. He will put himself between you and the whole circling court while insisting, in that low deliberate voice, that he does not particularly care what happens to you. He remembers everything you tell him.
